IMS
The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture provides multimedia services based on Internet technologies and SIP protocol. SIP is the main signaling protocol for the IMS architecture, and using SIP any IMS terminal can communicate with any SIP-based Internet terminal. The generic architecture and flexibility of the IMS platform also offers simple development and deployment of new services that can be added to the existing services, which gives the operators new revenue opportunities. IMS allows for operating a single all-IP network, thereby removing the need for maintaining a circuit switched system in parallel with the IP network.

MOTIware IMS integration
MOTIware IMS offers a new generation solution for billing, authentication, user management, user
availability and presence, and media content handling. In the enhanced MOTIware IMS System, the
server side is integrated with the IP Multimedia Subsystem, user management and user interaction is
handled by the MOTIware IMS Gateway and media functions are passing through Media Gateway.
MOTIware IMS demonstrates the benefits of an application using the benefits of the new generation
networks, meanwhile keeping and extending the features of MOTIware Prime on client side.
